Noah's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On July 24th, 2018- Elizabeth Desorbo received a call that is a  mother's worst nightmare, that her fiance, Joshua Gootkin and their two-year old son, Noah, had been in a tragic car accident. The driver of the vehicle, a friend of theirs, was switching lanes on I-91 South in Rocky Hill when their vehicle collided with another vehicle resulting in a rollover. All three of them were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to his injuries and passed away shortly upon arriving at the hospital. Josh was transported to Hartford Hospital and Noah was transported to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, where Josh was later released with non life threatening but significant injuries. Their sweet baby boy was admitted in critical condition into the PICU. Noah was immediately intubated and assessed further.  Doctor's tell Liz and Josh, that their son Noah has a broken femur and a skull fracture. As of the morning of 7/26, Noah's sedation medication were discontinued and the breathing tube was removed but unfortunately Noah is not responding as well as hoped.

It is too early to know how significant Noah's medical needs will be but doctors are anticipating that he will need intensive medical treatment and therapy services. Additionally, Josh and Liz will likely not be able to maintain employment in order to care for Noah.

Please help us support Noah's long road to recovery and help his parents give him everything he will need.
Noah's grandfather Earl Desorbo has been kind enough to open an account in Noah's name where the funds will be deposited and given to Liz and Josh for Noah's needs.
Thank you all!
