I am a trans/femme poor working artist and organizer who has dreamed since childhood of pursuing a thriving livelihood in radical theatre and performance, alongside my work as an intersectional organizer/activist. Money has been the main deterrent to this dream. Since moving back to NYC over a year ago, I have been working at least 2 and up to 4 jobs just to cover housing & life expenses, and am mostly paycheck-to-paycheck. Throughout this next year,  I will work to balance new schooling, chronic health issues (I have complex PTSD, major depression, and related chronic illness), family health support, employment work and performance work.

As I pursue further education in theatre, I'm in need of financial support for high tuition costs and the high expense of living in my home city of New York. Though I have gone to school full-time while also working nights & weekends in the past, it has taken big tolls on my physical and mental health. New opportunities in performance education are already demanding on the heart, mind, and body, requiring a lot of physical and emotional stamina on top of what I give to my various jobs (I work retail and do event management at a bookstore, I do bike deliviries, and I do freelance writing/editing). 

I'm asking for financial support throughout the year in addition to my work earnings to ease economic stress so I can build a healthy relationship to my work and life that allows me to centralize body care, time management, and housing security. Funds would go toward tuition, rent, utilities/bills, and transportation. 

Any and all support is greatly appreciated, and know it is not easy or fun to have to ask.

Folks who donate above certain amounts will also be able to receive personalized artwork from me, 15, 30, or 45 minute tarot/other divination readings (in person, via phone, or via internet), prints, broadsides, patches, and funky clothing that I make. (I'll add this feature once I crunch some numbers).
