Rex's Emergency Surgery

Donation protected
Even beginning to type this out is extremely hard for me as I am not one to ask for help.  I prefer to be the one helping others, but the fact of the matter is this time I truly do need to ask for help. Last Friday (December 21st) my dog, Rex, began vomiting.  At first I thought maybe he ate too fast and so I kept an eye on him.  The next day he continued vomiting and was not eating anything at all, but was drinking water.  On Sunday morning even after the smallest drink of water he would immediately vomit and so I called my vet.  Of course, they were closed and we were forced to take him to an emergency veterinarian - Stark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic.

After arriving the first course of action was to have an x-ray taken which showed a blockage in Rex's stomach.  A repeat x-ray 8 hours later showed the blockage had not moved and he was rushed to emergency surgery.  Thankfully he came through the surgery, but had to stay at the clinic for several days while recuperating.  He also had to be eating before being able to leave.

Yesterday (December 26th) he was able to come home, but we ended up with a total bill of $3,347.

We have had one generous donation of $250 which helped get Rex in the door at the clinic, examined, and diagnosed.  A huge thank you to Tom & Patti Lawver. But any help to help with this huge bill would be greatly appreciated by myself, my family, and Rex.  I recently had surgery and have been unable to work and so living on one income with four children has been tough before adding in this extra expense.

And as someone who prefers to help people I can without a doubt say when we are able we will pay this help forward.
