Reuben Burtons Pudsey Challenge!

The short version: My son Reuben, aged 6, is walking to and from school (just over a half mile each way), dressed as super Pudsey, for 3 weeks, walking ONLY backwards, totalling just over 15 miles!! All in aid of raising money for Children in Need.
The Story: After seeing a Children in Need advert for ‘Do your own thing’, my wonderful kind, caring son Reuben who is 6 years old, asked me if he could do something to raise money for Children who in his words ‘need it more than he does’.
After a couple of weeks of hard thinking... and coming up with some totally unrealistic and unpractical challenge ideas for a 6 year old to achieve bless him, he had made his mind up.
Reuben will be walking to and from school (just over a half mile each way), dressed as super Pudsey, for 3 whole weeks, walking ONLY backwards, totalling just over 15 miles!! Starting Monday 30th October to Friday 17th November.
I think you’ll agree that this is a big challenge for a 6 year old, and one of which whos balance and coordination is also lacking due to his physical development being behind other children of his age. I really don’t think he realises the challenge ahead of him, but he’s so determined and so passionate about raising money for a good cause, and we are so very proud of him!
He’s a super boy who’s doing a wonderful thing and we are behind him all the way, with the support of his school and the local press, and hopefully you too.
So please if you’re behind this cause and feeling a sense of pride that a 6 year old child has the awareness and compassion for others that Reuben does then please do support him and donate below. Even a donation of just 50p will make a massive difference to to total raised, as is soon amounts up!
Reuben has already raised almost £200 outside of just giving with the support of friends and family and those alike, but with much request we’ve been asked to run a go fund me page in order to reach a wider audience locally, especially following the involvement of the local press.
