Burial Expenses for Stephan
Donation protected
My name is Anthony and my mother and I started our day with the worst news of our lives. Completely unimaginable and we are both in shock. My 18-year-old brother, Stephan Ramirez, was killed in rollover crash this morning. After having spoken to my mentor and close friend, Brian Colón, I decided to set up this post and ask for support from our community. My family needs your help.
Stephan was a highly-motiated senior at Moriarty High School and was just two months shy of graduating with the Class of 2016. Stephan planned to attend UNM in the fall and had aspirations of becoming a doctor in our community someday. He was a wonderful young boy and was the sparkle in my mom's eyes.
My single mom works at an assisted living facility taking care of the elderly. She adopted two nieces to prevent them from being taken away by the state. In addition, she raised my sister who has spinal bifida and was set to graduate with Stephan in just two months. My mom is a hero to many and this loss has shaken us all to the core.
While my mother and family is in shock, it is immediately clear our limited resources will fall far short of those needed for Stephan's modest funeral. It is unclear how she will manage her work schedule and this will also impact her tenuous financial situation. My mom needs your help. I'm a young professional and am pleased to give her my entire savings, but there are substantial unmet expenses my Mom will face. Without many options, I am resorting to this GoFundMe page.
My family would be eternally grateful for your kindness and hope you know that it is a debt we will pay forward for years to come as we forever grieve the loss of my baby brother, Stephan.
With our family's gratitude,
Anthony
