Asten Jones

For everyone that knew Asten, would understand how devastating this is to everyone. She was the life and soul of any friendship, she was funny, kind and the strongest of anyone I knew. But most of all, she was everyone's friend, she kept in touch with everyone no matter how busy she was. She always had time for anyone, she was always up for a laugh and she loved being surrounded by friends and family. It was a sudden, unfortunate death and I want to give her the most beautiful funeral. If you could even spare the pennies at the end of a pound to help her family out, it would be most appreciated. I think we owe it to Asten to give her the best farewell we can.

Statement from Mrs Cathy J. MUIR.

"Firstly, on behalf of myself and all my family, I would like to express my immense gratitude for all the love, concern, kindness and generosity shown to us, following the sudden passing my daughter, Asten Rosalie JONES. The response to Asten’s passing has completely overwhelmed us and at times, has been difficult to comprehend. We have realised that Asten was held in such love, admiration and respect, by so, so many people.

I now wish to indicate, how it is intended to disperse the funds amassed by the generous donations forwarded to the ‘gofundme’ campaign generated by Amy McAteer.

Expenses arising from Asten’s funeral, conducted by Caladh Funeral Services, Dunoon.
Expenses incurred during the ‘light refreshments’ supplied at Cowal Golf Club.
The Design, Purchase and Placement of a Memorial Headstone at Cowal Cemetery, supplied by STOKES Memorials, Dunoon.
The purchase of Memory Teddy Bears for Asten’s Parents, Sisters and Brothers.
Any remaining funds will be used towards expenses and costs arising as a result of Mrs Cathy MUIR’s temporary inability to continue with her businesses / work during a period of bereavement, in order to enable Mrs MUIR to meet normal family financial obligations during this period."
