Rescue Dogs with Medical Needs

Help! Rescued ‘n Ready is overflowing with dogs that have critical medical needs and disabilities. We have even thought about changing our name to Disabled ‘n Ready.

But seriously, in just over a month we have taken into foster care these five that were so sweet and innocent, we just couldn’t turn them away….

First there was Hildi, a 3 month old Staffordshire Terrier mix, who was being dragged by a wire and may not regain mobility in her back legs. She is having expensive water therapy and acupuncture treatment to build muscle mass and stimulate recovery.

We have Scooby, a 4 month old Pit mix, who was attacked by a wild animal and tested positive for parvo.  He is having his wounds redressed on a daily basis and has recovered from Parvo with expensive treatment.

Next came Super Girl, a sweet 4 year old Chihuahua, that has no mobility in her back legs. She was found in a carrier abandoned at a local restaurant. Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Dennis Henson, believes her condition is due to not having her patellas repaired when they were luxating. This means that we will need to get her into a wheel chair and find a specialized home for her.

Then there is Apollo, a 2 year old Dachshund, who is Heartworm positive. A very serious medical condition that could have been prevented by an inexpensive monthly preventative. This sweet guy never stops wagging his tail. His treatment has started and will cost us about $700.

And yesterday, Goldilocks, a sweet beautiful stray who tested positive for parvo. We were not sure this girl would make it through the first night but she rallied her strength and has stabilized but is not out of the woods yet, so far in 2 days her treatment is up to $1800 and she was just transferred to a different medical facility today and that estimate is $500 minimum for another 5 days.

We are extremely low on funds and need help to continue care for the dog we have taken in and committed to help in their healing.

Please consider donating to help these kids get well by your donation to provide medical care, food, and boarding while they heal.  Any amount will help and the smiles on their faces is so rewarding. You can also mail donations to PO Box 700062, Tulsa OK 74170-0062.

If you have any questions, please email [email redacted]. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donations may be tax deductible.SaveSave
