En una crisis tan grave como la que estamos viviendo en Venezuela, la alimentación se basa casi exclusivamente en algunos carbohidratos como yuca, maíz o arroz, por lo que ofrecer un desayuno y un almuerzo balanceado a nuestros estudiantes en situación de desnutrición es esencial.
La desnutrición hace estragos en los niños. Se manifiesta a simple vista en nuestros estudiantes en muchos niveles, que van desde un simple agotamiento hasta el desmayo, por lo cual muchos padres optan por no enviarlos al colegio. Lo más grave sin embargo, será la disminución de la talla y el deterioro cognitivo írreversible que sufrirán más adelante.
La finalidad de la campaña "Jornada de Rescate Alimentario Colegio Obra Social San José de Calasanz", es poder recuperar de la desnutrición a quinientos de nuestros estudiantes más necesitados. Este rescate alimentario lo llevaremos a cabo en nuestro comedor gracias a las donaciones que recibamos de ustedes.
Nuestro colegio está ubicado al Sur de la ciudad de Valencia, Venezuela y tiene una matricula de más de mil alumnos. Fue fundado en 1978 por el padre escolapio Luis Arsuaga y desde entonces, mantenemos el espíritu y la misión de San José de Calasanz, dándole un inestimable servicio a nuestra comunidad del barrio El Impacto.

In a crisis as serious as the one we are living in Venezuela, the supply is based almost exclusively on some carbohydrates such as yucca (cassava), maize or rice, so offering a balanced breakfast and lunch to our students suffering of malnutrition is essential.
Malnourishment does devastation in children. You notice it to simple sight in our students in many levels, from a simple depletion up to faint, for which many parents choose not to send them to school. The most serious thing nevertheless, it will be the irreversible decrease of height and cognitive deterioration that students will suffer hereinafter.
The purpose of the campaign "Food Rescue Rally for Calasanz Sur" is to be able to recover from undernutrition five hundred of our needier students. This food rescue will be carry out in our school cafeteria, thanks to the donations that we will receive from you.
Our school is located to the south of the city of Valencia, Venezuela and it has an enrollment of more than one thousand pupils. It was founded by piarist father Luis Arsuaga in 1978, since then, we support the spirit and mission of San Jose de Calasanz, giving an inestimable service to our community called El Impacto.
