Help Homeless Steve

Donation protected
So today I met Steve, Steve is homeless and was begging on Baldwin Street with a sign which said “Not a drunk, Not a druggie but drink and food welcome” . I was on route to grab some food so decided to bring him back some sausage and mash from St Nick’s Market to hopefully brighten up his day. When I returned Steve was gone but I then found him frantically running around in a panic, so I asked what happened? Basically some disgusting spiteful people had stolen his backpack with his donated change, all his belongings, sleeping bag and passport. I didn’t quite know what to say so I gave him the sausage and mash and walked back to work.

Feeling bad I went back to Baldwin Street to see if he was back because I wanted to help, all that was left was his sign, so I left a note on his sign with my number to call me. 2 Hours later I get a call from a phone box from Steve, I then arranged to meet him, he told me how he ended up homeless due to his marriage ending because his wife cheated and unfortunately he ended up losing everything and is now on the streets.

I promised Steve I would help and sort replacements for all his stolen goods and look to help him get back on his feet. It was only essentials he had in his bag and he needs his passport for possible future employment as well as identification for any chance of help from the system. I don’t know how some of these vile people can steal from people in need like this.

If anyone would like to help Steve with along with me, we need £150 to get the stolen good replaced, then donate via the crowdfunding page below. It doesn’t matter if it is quid everything is a great gesture.
