Funeral Fund for Rhyss Glenfield

 RHYSS DAVID THOMAS GLENFIELD
 January 28, 1999 - November 14, 2018

On November 14, 2018, the Glenfield family suffered a sudden and tragic loss when their beloved son and brother, Rhyss, was struck and killed while waiting to cross the street.

As you can imagine, the Glenfield family is heartbroken due to this accident, but the love and support that they have received from family, friends and acquaintances of Rhyss, have been truly overwhelming. 

We will continue to lift Rhyss' family up in prayer, but would also like to support them in lessening the financial burden that has incurred following this tremendous loss. 



Rhyss was currently enrolled in his first year of the Gaming Design and Development program, at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa. As a graduate of Stratford Central Secondary School, Rhyss made an impact wherever he went. His teachers and classmates continue to share their memories of Rhyss, as he was the Music Council Co-president and proudly played an array of instruments in the school band.

Rhyss was an active member of Life Church of Stratford, where he was the drummer on the worship band. In 2017, Rhyss went on a life-changing missions trip to Ghana, where he continued to impact numerous lives around him, emulating the heart of Jesus.

If you knew Rhyss, you knew he was an avid fan of all things anime, coffee, hoodies and stirring the pot - whether that was in the kitchen OR in conversation #RhyssRants.

The visitation for Rhyss will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, November 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  

The Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee Christian Fellowship, 707 Downie Street Stratford on Friday, November 23, at 1 p.m. Pastor Joel French will officiate.  

We encourage all friends and family to wear their favourite hoodie, in honour of Rhyss.
