Rehab for Jack Daniels

Donation protected
Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about little Jack Daniels!

Jack was rescued on 2/5/19 from euthanasia. He was brought into New Holland Veterinary Hospital with what we originally thought was Swimmers Syndrome.

He presented with a stiff hind leg, and was the happiest puppy I had ever seen. I knew I had to do whatever possible to save him. We started him on Clindomycin (antibiotic) and treated immediately for fleas.

On 2/6/19, Jack was thoroughly looked at by another vet who noticed his mouth did not open as far as it should, and he was displaying some delayed neurological symptoms. We ordered blood work and continued care.

Yesterday, 2/8/19, little Jack was diagnosed with a parasite called Neospora. This is a parasite transmitted through eating infected tissue and food.

Jack is currently going through rough intense physical therapy and swim therapy here at home with me. However, we would really like to have a specialist see Jack and begin acupuncture, chiropractic work and anything else he may need.

We go through pee pads like crazy because Jack cannot walk to be potty trained outdoors, and he is strictly on wet food because chewing is not easy for him.

He needs 24/7 care, is not allowed to walk without assistance. We are currently looking into wheelchairs for Jack to help support his back end, but still allow him to use his hind legs as they strengthen.

I will be happy to share bill amounts, paperwork and tons of pictures for you to understand where your donations are going.

The current practice he is being seen at is
New Holland Veterinary Hospital.

We do have an appointment with Always Helpful Veterinary Clinic to have specialize care and treatments, where the visits are between $350-$450.

Jack Daniels and I appreciate all of your help!
