Refugee Family Reunification

We are trying to sponsor a sister(of the mother) and her two children to reunite this family. As a group of caring citizens, we successfully sponsored this lovely family of refugees and they have adapted well and are increasingly independent. What we didn't realize was that the sister had lived with them and has struggled terribly since this part of her family came to Canada. As a single mother raising her children alone in Lebanon she deals with hunger, cold, threats, and no school for her children. The application process has begun and we are told she could be eligible in about a year. 
As the sponsoring group we must have sufficient funds in the account when final approval occurs. I am a member of the core committee and worry that we cannot meet the funding requirements without the help of more citizens like ourselves. The funds will provide basic housing, food, clothing, and education for this mother and her son and daughter for their first year in Canada. That year will allow them to acquire some English and routines for daily life. We expect that she will renew her hairdressing career as soon as life becomes safe and stable with the strong support of her sister's family and our willing committee members.
