Helping Syrian Refugee Children
Donazione protetta
My name is Reema Hibrawi and I'm a Syrian-American with a master's degree in International Relations. I have lived in Syria and have family and friends still there. I know many more that have been displaced. Being a Syrian-American, I have worked on building awareness and fundraising to help those affected by this conflict because I am personally invested. With your help, I can do more.
In June 2014, I volunteered with the Karam Foundation on their Zeitouna project in Reyhanli, Turkey. I am fortunate enough to go again on this trip for their Innovative Education program. This mission will take place on November 8 - 13 at the Ruwwad School for Syrian refugees. This will be the sixth Karam mission, led by over 40 mentors traveling from around the world, serving over 700 Syrian students, grades 1 - 12, who are currently displaced along the Syrian-Turkish border.
The multi-talented team of mentors are experienced in working with children and are dedicated to their learning and development. Workshops will be on health and wellness, arts and crafts, self defense, journalism, architecture, and coding just to name a few. Learn more about the workshops here .
I’m seeking donations to help cover travel expenses but hoping for much more! All funds raised above my goal will go directly to the Karam Foundation towards the children, families, and teachers I will be working with and for future programs. I hope you’ll consider supporting this ground breaking program directly helping Syrians refugees.
