Red Crow Community College Destroyed by Fire
In the early morning hours of August 14, 2015, a fire broke out at the main campus of Red Crow Community College on the Blood Reserve. All equipment such as computers, audio visual equipment, office equipment, supplies, books, cultural artifacts, and records were completely destroyed.
Red Crow Community College is a tribal college that offers academic, trades, and cultural programs that held historical roots dated back to 1986 when the college first opened to serve the Blood Tribe people.
Due to the total loss of the Red Crow Community College, the Mikai'sto Foundation will be accepting all monetary donations on behalf of the College. All monetary donations can be accepted HERE on the GoFundMe page setup by the foundation. If you prefer to drop off a cheque. That infomation is below.
All donations received will go towards construction of a new building, the replacement of lost property, or costs incurred to house staff and students during the relevant transition period.
The Foundation is asking government, industry, charity, communities, and individuals to donate generously and assist in the effort to re-build Red Crow Community College and its post-secondary educational services.
