Recovery for Kyle and Shelley

Four and a half years ago, Kyle and Shelley (my mom and stepdad) set sail (from Ontario, Canada) to travel the world on their boat, doing charity work along the way.
A few days ago Kyle and Shelley were in an accident in Indonesia. They were both sent to the ICU as Shelley had a concussion and Kyle had broken his shoulder in two places, had four broken ribs, and difficulties breathing.
Kyle's lung has now collapsed. He has been intubated and is waiting for an air lift to Singapore for further surgery and better care.
Even though it's only been a few days, costs are adding up and the road to recovery will be a long one. As you may imagine, being in a serious accident such as this and so far from home, it is unlikely that insurance will be able to cover all of their costs.
