Rebuild Y Ffarmers Pub
On Friday Night/Saturday morning of 26/27th January a fire destroyed the Y Ffarmers Pub.
The pub was recently taken over by Caitlin and Lewis, as of July 2017, and had been massively refurbished.
The pub is a vital hub for the local community, hosting wedding receptions, parties, functions and small concerts.
It would be so nice to be able to raise some money to help them in the gruelling process of rebulding this treasured pub, so it can continue being an asset of the community.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
* This GoFundMe is not "official". It has been set up by Joe Buirski, director of Fire in the Mountain Festival that happens nearby, voluntarily as a gesture of help for Caitlin and Lewis. This page was not set up by them, but rather for them.
* The pub was insured so they both will receive help in rebuilding the pub. However, this is still such an awful thing to happen, so any money raised over and above the insurance pay out might help them in the meantime in keeping the name alive, paying any mortgage, and just getting by during the long process of rebuilding. It's not really for us to question what they use the money for, but rather, donating some money here is just a nice way of showing support - they might use it to do something special in the pub when it's finished, or it might get consumed by "loss of earnings" for the months it is closed. Who knows, it's just nice to help people when something really awful happens.
