Rebuild the House he Built

Donation protected
Imagine, if you will, a young veteran with a large and growing family.  Money is tight, so he and his wife buy a small house with two bedrooms and plan to "build on."  Now imagine, this man actually follows through with the plan.  He transforms that tiny two bedroom into a three-story amazing structure.  Now stop imagining, because this man, Larry McBride, did just this.  He created this architectural beauty with his own two hands and his personal ingenuity, and, of course, with the hands of those who loved and support this same dream.  This endeavor started in 1980 and took nearly 20 years, but was completed in the late 1990's.

Larry has spent his entire life devoted to God.  He was involved in the Methodist Lay Ministry and prison ministries for many years.  He has raised his children, as well as multiple foster children in this house.  He has attended the same church most of his life and truly believes God will take care of him and his family, which is big and wonderful!  I may be bias.

On June 9, 2019, this house burned to the foundation.  Larry McBride, who is now 73, and his family living with him (wife and two young adult children) made it out alive, with nothing but their pets, the clothes on their backs and minor injuries, to watch the house that had been in the family for over 40 years fade away.

At this point, we are just looking for a little help with clothes, toiletries, insurance deductibles (house and vehicles) and start up costs to get back on their feet.

Larry and his family have absolutely nothing.  The memories are devastating, but the day to day is even worse.  Many of you have asked how to help Larry and his family.  At this point, they have already started replacing immediate needs.  The resource they mostly need is money, so that they can assess their situation day by day.

Any help - clothes, toiletries, money, prayers, good vibes - is deeply appreciated.

Thank you in advance for all thoughts, prayers, and donations.  You are loved.  May God bless you.
