Rebuild First Presbyterian Church of Girard

We are members of the congregation at the First Presbyterian Church in Girard PA. In the early morning hours of July 22, 2018, our historical church was completely destroyed by fire. While thankfully no one was injured fighting the fire, the building is a total loss. Insurance will cover some of the costs, but likely not full replacement costs. Any help is appreciated and will go to the church restoration fund for the rebuilding costs. The congregation is focused on taking this opportunity to rebuild in a way that will enhance our ability to deliver ministries to the community. This includes bringing the community food pantry into the new building serving over 150 families monthly. We are just beginning the design phase with plans to break ground in late summer 2019 and hope to have the new building in use by late 2020.
