Help Rebuild Arthur's Barn
Donation protected
Today we lost a staple in our community, Arthur's Barn (formerly Johnson's Barn). The barn was lost in a fire. It happened around 1:30pm and we are unsure of the cause--no one was home.
People have come from all over the world to enjoy the experience of dancing in the barn and we want to keep the dances alive.
We know we are not the only ones who have lost in this tragic event. If you know Julie and Delon Cahoon, they are not owners of the barn to make money, but make memories. They have kept the entrance fee at $10 so kids could come and learn how to swing dance. They always say the best part about the dances is seeing the smiles on the people's faces.
Even though it's not in their nature to ask for help, we know they need it...(they had insurance, but it won't be enough to rebuild) and are hoping people feel the way we do and want to keep the tradition alive. This campaign has been set up by their 10 kids. Tiffanie Honeyman, (daughter) is managing the campaign.
These dances have been taking place for 60+ years and we want to keep them going. All funds will be put toward rebuilding the barn. If you feel the same way, please share. If we all chip in a little, we can reach our goal.
