Rebranding My Book Series

$500 of $3,500 goal

Raised by 7 people in 17 months
Back in 2013, I began pursuing my dream job as an author and editor. I published my first novel in 2014 and the second in 2015, both to rave reviews, and have ghostwritten over 100 novels since then.

But I made some mistakes my first time around. And now I need some help to breathe new life into a series that is near and dear to my heart.

The Curious Collectibles Series is a paranormal romance series that focuses on adventure, mystery, magic, and love. It was born from the idea that love is terrifying, thus romance should be too, and incorporates elements of dark fantasy, Lovecraftian horror, and ancient mythology to enhance the world in which these characters live (and die). So far, with one prequel novella and two full-length novels, they've been compared to the TV show Once Upon a Time, Fear Street by R.L. Stine, the horror movie Audition, and Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series.

And I want to write more. But to write more, I need to be able to support myself. My old books need to be making money to pay off those pesky things like rent and bills.

This is where you come in.

I need at least $3,500 to completely rebrand my series. This pays for the cover artist to reimagine the covers, an interior formatter to make the layout as pretty as possible, and allows me to invest in marketing and (hopefully) paperback/hardcover versions.

I've been offered space at book signing events, but haven't been able to go due to financial issues. If I could afford to order prints of my books, I could introduce a lot more people to them—and hopefully come away with some fans, as a result!

Your support could really jumpstart my career. It could give me the peace of mind of having a steady income from my pre-existing work, allowing me to get started on the next book in the series, which is long overdue! It also allows me to write outside of this series, bringing you new stories about new characters and all the exciting adventures that await them.

What will I do if I receive excess funding? I will definitely put it to good use! Any extra money I might earn from this campaign will go straight back into my business, ensuring that I can continue to produce content and support my family. It also opens the door for nicer print versions of my books—physical copies you would be happy to display on your shelves.

Help me resurrect the town of Sanctum Harbor, and bring to life brand new stories in the process!

Hey, all! I've decided to work with a new cover designer for some brand new designs. It will be several months before I'll be able to post anything, but in the meantime, your donations are appreciated and going toward a special fund set aside for this new work to be done. He's a little more expensive, but I feel confident in his abilities. I'm looking forward to having more info for you all soon!
