Raven Redbone was born Brian M. Frisina in Akwesasne, New York, and before moving to Olympia,. Washington. Raven lived in many other places throughout the United States. Raven grew up near the Canada border, traveling back in forth from the US and Canada Raven experienced and truly love and influenced by Native music from both sides of the imaginary border. Raven also loved Irish, Folk, Appalachia, classical and listened to a lot of talk radio. After arriving in Olympia well, 8 years later Raven establish himself as a DJ on KAOS. In 2014, Raven received an award from Censored News called “ New Perspectives in Resistance in Radio” this award was presented by Brenda Norell. Raven would proceed to pursue his passions and received his MPA IN Tribal Governance, education, business, media and will continue to host “Make No Bones About It.” On KAOS. Since 2008 as well as organizing many events in the community such as Sunrise Ceremony, Indigenous Peoples Day, Educational Films about Indigenous Peoples Today, collects warmth for all of Indian Country as Executive Board Member of Goodthinking 4 All our Relations, Board Member of Olympia Food Coop and public speaking on occasion. Raven Redbone resides in Olympia with his 2 kids, Tekla Frisina age 12 and Nataani Frisina age 10, and let us not forget our cat Gaia who is 17. Raven Redbone is a human being with mixed heritage and honors all his ancestors. Raven's life is dedicated to unity of Earth Peoples.
