Melissa Spranger lost her battle with Sarcoma cancer on April 3, 2015.  She also had severe back problems that prevented her from doing many things she enjoyed, including showing her own dogs.
She left behind many chihuahuas, mostly age 7 or older,  and one old pomeranian.  Money is needed to get these dogs vetted, ie: teeth/dentals, spay and neuter, etc, and ready for new homes.  She had no estate.  She lost her home almost 3 years ago and she and the furkids had been staying with her best friend.  It has been almost 2 years since she was able to go down into the kennel and care for or even visit most of the dogs.
Melissa had been active in the Chihuahua Club of America, Chihuahua Club of Michigan and the Great Lakes Toy Club, She was the past president of the Pomeranian Club of Michigan and has been active in purebred dogs for almost 50 years.  
The Great Lakes Toy Club has generously donated $500 towards the goal, and a private donation of $100 was also given by one of the members!
