Eden Elizabeth was born with five heart defects.
She's perfect in every other way and is doing extremely well, but will have to have open heart surgery before her first birthday. We do have insurance that is paying for the majority of her expenses, but there are things that are not covered, among them an important antibody shot to protect her from RSV. The typical cost per shot is $1800 and she will need 9 of these shots in her first year of life.
We're asking for help with the extras: the shots, the out of pocket expenses, the cost of traveling back and forth to Dallas for procedures, extra little things we have to buy and pay for now that we didn't expect. We're a one income household with three young children and having one who has special health needs can be expensive.
