Jaymie's Medical Fund
$20,172 of $20,000 goal
During my treatment process, the Doctors and Nurses were all so kind to me. Police Officers showed their support by visiting me and my family at the Hospital. Some of them went the extra mile by bringing toys for me to play with and flowers for my family. The treatment process has been a long and grueling ordeal. So far, I went through two skin graphing surgeries. I still have two more sessions of laser surgery left and in the future, I may have additional skin graphing surgeries for skin flexibility purposes. Currently, with the exception of my thumbs, I can move my hands with ease. I am blessed to have two wonderful Parents, who are working extremley hard to pay for the medical bills, but they need a little help. Thus far, I accrued approximately $140,000 in medical bills. Thankfully, my Dad has good Health Insurance that has supplemented the majority of the cost. Sadly, he still owes $20,000 from the last two skin graphing surgeries.
I want to give a big shoutout to the men and women of the NYPD for being to generous and being there for Jaymie all the way from New York. Wow!! This is amazing. I never thought this would make it that far and it would touch so many people. Much love all the way from Durham NC, the bull city.
My heart is breaking for your little girl. My 2 yr old son climbed up to the counter, lost his balance, and landed with one hand into a pot of water I was boiling for pasta. It was the most horrifying moment of my life. To think that someone would do that intentionally enrages me. Your daughter is a trooper I will be donating and will share!
Jamie, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I just want to say you are such a strong brave soul. We know your dad from working in our local grocery store and know that he and your mommy love you very much. You have also won the hearts of me and my husband too! I pray that you heal quickly and know that you will always be in our prayers. May God bless you always. Jeff and Cheryl Mitchell
My Granddaughter was also burned by her sitter in a pan of boiling water. She was 2 at the time and is now 6. Oct. will be 5 yrs. since it happened. She also had 3 degree burns. Has had 3 surgeries and expected more. As she grows, they will do surgery on her webs. She went through a series of cast and gloves and therapy. The bills have never been completely paid.....my daughter got a hold of the shriners in Cincinnati. They have a burn center there. She wrote them and sent them information and got excepted and will get all of the medical attention she needs till she becomes an adult. They have been wonderful.....they notify my daughter whenever her appointment is do. Its not that much of a drive from Indiana. Good luck to you and God Bless! Might want to check into it. I know how you feel....hard to believe that somebody could be that cruel.
I would like to take this time and thank each and everyone of you for all of your generous donations. I cannot begin to describe how encouraging it is to know how many people, that before these last three days were complete strangers to me, but found in their heart to step up and donate their hard earned money toward Jaymie's medical bills. It has not been easy being the sole provider for my wife and two kids. Many of you have never experienced a moment where youre child was seriously injured while in someone else's care. Please believe me when I say that I am very thankful for coming to my family's aid in a financial form. Although there are some that believe I should tough it out and own up to the medical bills, let not forget that they are fortunate enough to have never gone through such harsh times in their lives, god forbid they ever go through it. God bless you all from Jaymie, Patricia and I.
Itzel, thank you so much for reaching out to us! Im very sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she gets well soon. Hospital bills can really pile up quick.
@eddie juve, Thank you so much for youre donation also! Its amazing that Jaymie's story has made it all the way out to Wyoming. God bless you. Tell your story to stay safe and that I am also thankful for his service
@Kate Brown, thank you so much for taking out the time and making a contribution toward Jaymies fund. I'd like to talk to you more about you're experience with you child. God bless you.
Am so sorry about your little girl. I live in Wyoming so there is not much that I can do to help but monetary. Prayers are with her and you too Dad for the work that you do. It's dangerous out there....my son is a police officer as well. God bless and God speed recovery.
