Hello. My name is Wayne Raqueno, and I'm the 4th child and only son of Flordeliza Raqueno. My Mom recently passed away while I was away working at an event in Cleveland, OH. Having lost my Dad 5 years ago while he was on vacation in the Philippines, it has been very difficult for me to accept the loss of my Mom. She was an awesome Mom who raised three daughters and an amazingly awesome son. ;) People often tell me that they hold me in high regards...and knowing that, makes me thank my Mom and Dad for raising me the way they did. They molded me to become "ME". And for that...I am eternally greatful!
Through the years, I've learned one thing about Mom...she is loved by just about everyone. Giving...its one of the memories most have of her. Whether you were just stopping by to say hello, stopping by to pick something up, or just passing through, if she saw you or heard your voice, she wanted to offer something to eat or drink, to make sure you were comfortable. If she knew someone was about to take a trip, or knew of people's shortcomings, she was always willing to help as much as possible, even if it was just $20 or a tshirt, or some food. She was a person with an amazing heart. Caring! Much like myself.
Well...I've had a few friends and family ask me if they could send me checks or paypal to help with the costs associated with the funeral expenses, which are unimaginably high nowadays. I really appreciate all of the help already! I didn't really want to solicit assistance to cover the funeral expense, but then someone suggested setting up this GoFundMe page to assist in offsetting the costs. Well...here goes. We are looking at roughly $20,000 in expenses including the fees for the funeral home, casket, and mausoleum. I can't believe the costs are so high for a funeral, but then again...we went through this 5 years ago when my Dad passed away. I'm not trying to pass the expenses on to others, but many who loved my Mom and family have wanted to help, so this is the outlet to do so.

If you have read down to this point, we have probably run through life with one another, shared a conversation, a laugh, or maybe you know one of my three older sisters (who all make me crazy by the way ;)), or you may be friends of my parents, or other family.
