Ramón's Medical Treatment

Ramón Antonio García is a dedicated husband and father of 4 that lives in a small town called Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
Ramón lived a healthy, normal life until January of 2014. What he expected to be a minor surgery to alleviate a neck pain, left him almost totally paralyzed from the head down. Suffice to say, Ramon’s life has been devastated. The doctor that operated on him has yet to give Ramón any answers, and the only two lawyers in the town of Puerto Plata have declined to help him seek compensation. It seems unbelievable, but this is the reality for many Dominicans without financial resources.
Since 2014 Ramón’s condition has remained a daily struggle. Both the Dominican Republic’s limited resources and Ramon’s own financial situation has prevented him from receiving the medical attention necessary to restore his quality of life. However, he has remained hopeful that he may one day walk again.
Despite some media coverage of his condition in the DR Ramón has received little help. So we’ve begun an effort to collect enough money to pay for further treatment that has the potential to help Ramón regain control over his body. Any and all contributions would be greatly appreciated by Ramón and his family.
