Ramona Brant was the kind of person who touched the hearts of every individual who had the pleasure to meet her. The true definition of an incredible woman. She was a beautiful spirit who exuded love, patience, and determination. Her story of being sentenced to LIFE in prison without the possibility of parole for a first-time non-violent drug offense has made Ramona Brant a household name. She was determined that she would not die in prison.  In December of 2015 she was granted Clemency by President Barack Obama. On February 2, 2016, 21 years to the day, she walked out of the prison system a free woman! She has spent the last 2 years of her freedom strengthening the bond she shares with her 2 sons, her husband, grandchildren, and many family and friends. Aside from dedicating her life to doing the Lord’s work, she advocated for change in the justice system for the formerly incarcerated. She believed that those who paid their debt to society should not continue to be punished after their release. On Sunday February 25, 2018, 8 days shy of her 55th birthday, Ramona passed away unexpectedly in her home surrounded by her family…FREE!  Any donation is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Best Regards, The Brant Family
