I am starting a gofundme for my best friend Adam Hilse and his family. In EMS we are always at the service of someone in their darkest hour of need. We often respond to emergencies and crises that numerous times we wish our eyes could unsee what our mind now won't forget. Never would we imangine that medical emergency would be for ourself. On June 13, 2017 Adam and his partner were taking a transfer from Sikeston, MO up to St. Louis around 11:00pm. On the way up to St. Louis the ambulance was involved in a MVA with a Semi. Once the ambulance hit, the box portion exploded as the roof along with other structure components flew apart. Adam was tossed out of the ambulance and the roof then landed on him dragging him down the highway. From this accident he has sustained serious injuries and will have a long road to recovery. With this accident, Adam was working at his part time Paramedic job to earn extra income for his family and a vacation they would be taking so it is up in the air what workers comp may or may not pay as of this moment. Well Adam has been a great friend to me, always been by my side and helped me in my darkest hour and I will do the same for him by taking the unknown out of the equation and starting a gofundme for the Hilse family with a goal set for 1 year salary that he makes to ensure the Hilse family will be ok during Adams road to recovery. If you are led to donate I know they will be forever grateful as will I for they are some of the truest most humble friends and people I know. Please keep Adam, his wife Courtney and two daughters Kyndahl and Kaelyn in your thoughts and prayers. God Bless!!

As of last night, Adam "Superman" has been released from the Hospital and is at home as you read this!! Who could have thought this was possible last Tuesday night but I do believe that everybodies prayers, wishes, support and rallying around him was a huge help along with Adam displaying great strength and fortitude!! As he starts his road to recovery I continue to ask everyone to keep Him, Courtney and their two girls in your prayers. I again ask everyone to if you can not donate please share this gofundme link and help it go viral so we can reach the goal set to support them as he has done for so many. Thank you all again and now let's get to sharing!!

Great News!!! Adam is up and doing rehab after hip surgery, moving around and showing miraculous progress!!! We came up today and surprised him with the girls and celebrated an early Father's Day, as you can see we have 1 very happy Dad and 2 very happy young girls to see their dad!!! He was so happy to see them and love them and vise versa. We have truly been blessed with the support, love, care and rallying the Hilse family has seen and felt. We thank you all but I ask please continue to spread the word as Adam has a long road to recovery and we still have a way to reach our goal. Support us as we make sure that the Hilse family is taken care of in every way possible!!!!

Wow, 1 day into this and all the support the Hilse family has recieved not only on here but through other avenues and forms is truly amazing. Thank you everyone so much!! An update on Adam, he goes in for surgery this morning to repair a shattered hip sustained from the crash. He also has a broken ankle and fractures of his L2, sternum and 3-4 ribs. He also recieved about 40% road rash to his body but the main part is he is alive. I saw him yesterday at Barnes Jewish Hospital and he is a very humbled man. He still has a long road to recovery but the Dr.'s expect if not fully a near close to 100% recovery. God truly had his hand and angels camped around Adam. I also would like everyone to keep everyone else involved in their thoughts and prayers as I know it can't be easy for them to have been involved in a traumatic incident like that. On behalf of the Hilse family I wan't to express my love, appreciation and admiration for everyone donating. We still have a long way to go to reach the goal I set but I know with people spreading the word we can reach it, the gift of humanity is truly a remarkable thing to witness. God Bless you all!!
