A Bright Future for R.J.

As we mourn the loss of our dear friend, Sherry Baker, her son Reshawn Lee (R.J.) is mourning the loss of his beloved mother. The bond between a mother and son is one that cannot be replaced and Sherry and R.J.'s bond was especially strong . Anyone that met Sherry knew she was a fiercely loving and devoted mother and that R.J. was always her first priority. Sherry was always focused on his education and keeping him involved in all the extracurricular activities that he enjoyed. We would like to ensure that R.J. can continue to participate in all of those activities as well as look ahead to help fund his college education.
Please consider making a donation to benefit R.J. His involvement in Scouts, Taekwon-do, Chess Club & Lego Club have given him confidence and allow him to be surrounded by a supportive group of friends that will help him throughout his grieving process. We would also like to ensure R.J. can attend camps, educational programs and save for college. As R.J. and his family carry the burden of grief we can help alleviate some of the financial strain.
Sherry was such an important part of our village, dedicating her time and service to so many school and neighborhood initiatives. More than that, she shared her kind and loving spirit with everyone she met. Although Sherry fought a daily battle against Sickle Cell Anemia she walked through life with faith, love, courage, purpose and grace. Her illness never defined her and her smile never faded. We are blessed to have called her friend and we are humbled to be able to honor her memory by watching over R.J.
