The Daniel Bolton Memorial Fund

£5,955 of £600 goal

Raised by 190 people in 2 months
Created September 2, 2018
August 2018, Daniel Bolton became very unwell and was rushed into hospital. After 24/7 care and his family by his side for what seemed like an eternity, Dani sadly lost his fight.

This fundraiser was originally set up to aid Dani in his recovery. He left a huge hole in many people’s lives and because of that we have kept this fundraiser open to raise money in his legacy.

thank you.

Hello everybody.

This is a rather difficult message for me to have to write, so please bare with me.

Dani was fighting hard like he always did. He wasn't a quitter and would have laughed in the face of any bad situation. But at around 4pm yesterday, Dani sadly lost his fight.

It would be easy for me to sit and list all of the words that people often use to describe somebody they love but to be honest Dani would've hated it and words can't describe how remarkable he was. I don't need to tell you all how utterly marvellous he was at musical instruments, or how he could drink anybody under the table, or how he could turn any bad mood into happiness and laughter because you all already knew that. You know how much of a bloody fantastic guy he was.

When somebody comes into your life and fills it with the most wonderful, down to earth energy it is hard to believe that anything bad will ever happen to that person and because of that we take life for granted. We don't reply to messages straight away. We don't tell somebody that we do in fact love them. We don't say yes to an opportunity because we're scared of what might happen after. We don't laugh as much as we should and we certainly don't drink as much beer as we should. So next time you have any doubt, ask yourself 'what would Dani do?' The answer would probably be 'go to the pub and have a beer', and that's exactly what we shall do.

I want to say a personal thank you to every single one of you for contributing to this fund. I know that Dani's family were so bowled over by your generosity and I can assure you Dani heard every single one of your comments.

I will, over the coming days, update you further with news on where your kind donations will be going but in the meantime, please continue to share this page so we can raise money in his memory and spread his legacy far and wide.

Then grab yourself a pint and have a watch of this. It's a video of a rehearsal with me, Dani, Doug and Michael with help from uncle Col and is ropey in places but we were proud as punch (despite the brutal comments).

‘Dani Bolton from Bolton’, you were a star on stage and now you’re a star in the sky. Shine bright my friend.

Hello everybody.
Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for donating to this page- the money you have so kindly given is going to aid Dani in his recovery process and will take a huge financial burden away from him.

Secondly, I’d like to apologise for not posting more updates. I know Dani is currently in a stable place and his family have been with him every day, but until I know anything more there is nothing for me to update you with.

I visited Dani this week and spoke with his family. They want to pass on their thanks and are so grateful for all of the love and support shown by each and every one of you. The money was originally raised to help them with their living costs whilst staying in London, but after speaking with them they have told me they won’t be touching a penny and that all money raised will go straight to Dani to help him back on his feet when he is out of hospital.

I’m sorry I have no more updates for now, but I’m so thankful to each of you for helping to achieve this. Please keep sharing the page on your social media accounts- the more money we can raise the better we can make Dani’s recovery process!

Cheers,

Tom

An update for you all.
Dani is still the same.
He has not yet woken up from sedation, but things are starting to move a bit quicker now with scans and more tests.
The family still don’t know the cause.
Thank you everybody for your donations.
The family will have access to the fund in due course and as soon as I have any more news, I will endeavour to let you all know!
Thank you,
Tom
