The past few months there has been this cat roaming around our property and one of the neighbors homes that looked very thin.
He was afraid of us for a little while until we gave him some food and then he started getting use to my husband and I. we've posted on multiple sites for someone to take him, but no one has wanted him because he looks very beat up and the humane society told my husband they would put him down if there was something wrong with him medically.
A neighbor of ours said they saw someone drop off a white cat on the side of the road one day and he thinks this is the one that was.
Over the weekend, December 10th, we brought him inside because of low temperatures and we noticed something on him was bleeding.
We gave him a bath and found out that the top of his right rear foot has wounds. Upon further looking we saw they were puncture marks and were fairly wide and deep that continue to bleed still and may have infection as more than just blood is leaking from wound.
Tonight, Sunday, we were changing the bandage on his foot when we noticed it was fairly swollen and seemed to be twisted slightly. When he walked his foot was turning inward and stepping on the side of his paw not the bottom. My husband felt his foot and says it feels broken and he cries when its touched.
I am planning on bringing him into a vet this morning, but I don't have the means of helping pay for his medical needs (since we had a bought of bad luck with a vehicle that had taken up all the money we had for the rest of the month) and I do not want him to be put down neither... He is very sweet and very well behaved. Poor baby just craves attention.
I am asking for help. Not for me but for this poor animal who needs help and no one else is going to do that for him.
