Rachael Shelp Medical Fund

If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Rachael you are truly missing out! She is the sweetest child I have ever met! Her  extra chromosome is what makes her amazing! 

Kathy  is the only provider for her family and with Rachel being in the hospital she is unable to work.  We would like to raise some money for when Rachael is out of the hospital so Kathy does not have to worry about bills and expenses.

Rachael was diagnosed with blood clots in her lungs in the ER at Scottish Rite on Wednesday night. She was transferred to Egleston which is where we will be. She went for a procedure to try and help dissolve the blood clots yesterday and there were complications at the end of the procedure. To give her heart and lungs time to recover and rest, she has been placed on a heart and lung bypass machine. She is stable and completely sedated. They are checking to see how the blood clots are today. We are praying for the clots to not get worse for now. Step 2 is for her to plateau and have a few days of stability. Step three is for the clots to get better. The dr said she is probably the sickest child in Georgia right now. He is optimistic that the team can get her through this. There are still many obstacles to get through and this is a tenuous, precarious situation.
