Race for Reagan!
I will be running the Rock n' Roll 1/2 marathon this summer in honor of my niece Reagan Sheehan and raising money towards the
VASCULAR BIRTHMARK FOUNDATION.
Reagan was born with a Port Wine Stain birthmark (vascular birthmark) that covers her face, neck, arms, back and legs. She has undergone over 15 laser skin treatments to help alleviate the discoloration of her skin. The treatments have significantly helped lighten her skin tone and we are so proud of her! However she still has many intense laser treatments ahead of her.
Reagan is only 1 years old.
Reagan also has to be closely monitored for neurological problems (seizures) and vision impairments (glaucoma) every few months. Thus far, all of her testing has come back negative and no indication of any deficits. She is super girl!
In the midst of all her treatments, exams, procedures and numerous doctor’s visits, Reagan has made it through everything with a beautiful smile on her face! She is truly the happiest, sweetest little girl and her beautiful blue eyes light up the entire room.
She is really is our REA of sunshine!
I am empowered by her strength and courage! I will complete this ½ marathon on in honor of my niece Reagan as well as my sister, brother in law and big brother Brayden.
In addition, I am raising awareness for all vascular birth marks and money towards a donation to
THE VASCULAR BIRTHMARK FOUNDATION.
They have provided my family and thousands of other families a community of resources, support and assistance that have significantly impacted Reagan’s future.
If Reagan can make it through everything she has so far even with a smile on her face, I can make it through 13.1 miles! I will be running the Rock n' Roll 1/2 marathon on July 17th, 2016 in Chicago.
I appreciate any donation no matter how small!
