Today, I am desperately asking for your help.
On Wednesday, August 8th I took my dog "Nova" to the park as we usually do. When we were on our way back home, she was attacked by a Great Dane who was not on a leash, Nova escaped from her leash as the other dog started running towards her. The owner of this dog did not help whatsoever and had a hard time getting a hold of her dog, in the process this dog proceeded to chase Nova and eventually ended up having her in his mouth. Nova has a fractured rib and a punctured lung. Her stomach is very swollen and she has been having difficulty breathing. The vet says that she has air trapped between her skin which should resolve on it's own but she has seen cases where it does not. We will be keeping a close eye on her over the next few days but she is not in the best condition as of right now, if she does not get better we will have to take her back to the vet, meaning more bills. Anyone who has ever met me knows how much my dog means to me, Tonight has been the worst night of my life thus far and all that I am asking for is a little bit of help. Anything counts. My dog is my entire world and more. The vet bills are outrageous and we have not been able to locate the owner of the dog that bit Nova.
