WKU Crowd Banner

Donation protected
Last football season, a group of WKU students spent the summer preparing for a legendary coup as we faced MTSU. We stitched together several large pieces of tarp, laid out a design, and painted a banner, all by hand.

We convinced a section of MTSU fans to hoist the banner right in front of their team as they came to the sideline. Pulling a prank like this on our hated rivals took a small bit of the sting out of dropping a heartbreaker of a game.

Additionally we made a smaller banner that was displayed during the moment of silence for our legendary coach Jimmy Feix.

This spring and summer, we are going to again attempt to bring a display of support to the team. This new banner will be more permanent. We are going to make a multifunctional piece that can be used for football, basketball, and even other sports when possible.

We are still working on the exact size and design of the new banner. We would like to get a professionally produced banner, but are also exploring the possibility of a handmade version.

These past projects have been funded mostly by the group of students. We now are looking for help in funding this project. All of the money raised will go to the project. Any left over money will be forwarded to the Red Wave Student Section and the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation to help forward our Athletics programs.

This project is not in any way affiliated with WKU, HAF, or any other representative of WKU or Hilltopper Athletics. We are independent fans working to increase the atmosphere and excitement in WKU venues and student sections.
