Rohming Robots South Super Regional 2016

FIRST Tech Challenge Team #8477 - The Rohming Robots recently received the top two awards at the SC FTC Championship. They now have the opportunity to compete at the next level of competition - The South Super-Regional in San Antonio, Texas. Our team needs funding to cover our registration fee and travel costs associated with the Super-Regional which takes place March 9th-11th. 

Our team is a 4-H project club focused on the FIRST Tech Challenge competition. We have nine team members from the 8th-12th grade, who happen to all be homeschool students. We love learning about science and math, and FIRST robotics gives us an amazing opportunity to learn more and demonstrate our knowledge. FTC teams build robots with metal pieces and use sensors and Android devices to program. We are required to keep an engineering notebook to document our discoveries and we received a 2nd place award for this at this year's  SC competition. 

Our objectives for this year and the Super Regional include:
1. Document design process thoroughly with team input, drawings, photos, and CAD models
2. Learn additional skills and apply them to building, programming, modeling, and managing the robot design
3. Make sub-teams more effective in project planning
4. Be a fully sponsored team
5. Share FTC/FIRST with local community in at least 3 outreach events
6. Build a robot that can stand up in competition and score reliably
7. Finish in the top third at SC FTC Championship and make it to the elimination rounds at Super-Regional
8. Actively scout at tournaments
