Help Heather Get Back On Her Feet

Donation protected
Hello beautiful loves.

I come to you now asking for help.  From the moment that I chose independence on my 18th birthday, I opted out of financially needing help from others, and for almost six years I did a great job of not letting my circumstances limit me.  With multiple chronic illnesses, however, that freedom of dependency is out of my control, and so here I am, truly needing support.

As some of you know, I was hospitalized for the majority of November for my Crohn's Disease and Fibromyalgia
; and though I am out now, I am definitely not back on my feet, nor ready for work.  I am also being evicted from my apartment, because the landlords simply want the room back.  And I can’t afford a lawyer to defend me, and so I am going to embrace the change and move.

So as hard as it is for me to say it, I need help.  And here’s what your support would give me:

transportation to doctor’s appointments: I don’t have a car and the mile-long walk to the bus plus the tumultuous ride is more than my fatigued body can currently handle.  The funding for an über would allow me to get to and from my appointments without further stressing my body.

medical aid not covered by insurance: things such as heating pads, multi-vitamins, pill cases, more supportive shoes, and even clothing that will be more gentle on my especially tender stomach are all things I could use right now, but can’t afford.

security deposit on a new apartment: this one is big, as housing out here is not cheap and landlords tend to ask for first and last month’s rent.  But any little dent would really help me.

moving expenses: as of right now, I can’t go more than a few hours without taking lengthy naps; just the everyday grind is too physically taxing on my body.  So the question that plagues me then is “how on earth am I going to pack up and move all of my things from my apartment into another?”  Help from friends, of course, is the answer here, but I would love to do something to give back to them.  Even if it’s as simple as ordering pizza for them as they help me move.

hospital bills: this one, too, feels like an endless pit of money, but again, any dent will help me, and allow me to show the hospital that I plan to pay them back for the aid they gave me.

time to heal: lastly, dear friends, if these stresses can be shared, it would proive me with what feels like the ultimate luxury: the ability to rest and heal without having to stress about how to survive.

This is a very hard time for me, made harder by the fact that I can't take care of myself alone, but with your help, I can go back to being me.   A sprite trapped in a human's body, trying to share light and happiness with the world.

Again, thank you, sweet friends.  Just knowing you are there and reading these words gives me the courage to fight on each day.  I love you all and can't thank you enough.
