Hello family and friends. This is Giancarlo Gil. He is 14 years old.  We have known Giancarlo and his family  since he and my oldest son, Tony, met in kindergarden camp. Giancarlo is an honor student who is on the freshman football team at Chula Vista High School and has been playing baseball since he was 5 years old. Giancarlo is now suffering from a flesh eating bacteria. Because of this bacteria, doctors had to amputate his right leg right below the knee. He has had 4 surgeries in the last 5 days with more to come. Doctors have also shaved off some of his right quad to make sure that the bacteria does not reach any main arteries. The road to recovery will not be an easy one physically, emotionally, and financially. His parents have taken time off of their jobs to be close to their son, but as we all know, the bills of everyday living do not stop. There will also be upcoming medical expenses that will need to be covered, including prosthetics. Please, I ask all of my family, friends, friends of family, etc., to please help us help Giancarlo and his family in this hour of need. Anything that you can contribute with will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share his story with family and friends. Thank you in advance for your support, and please continue to pray for him.

Hello family and friends. I am sad to say that the doctors had to amputate Giancarlo's entire right leg all the way up to the groin/hip area. Prayers are needed more than ever now.

Hello family and friends. Update on Giancarlo: He had his 7th surgery on Wednesday. Some good news. His kidneys are starting to produce more urine and doctors said that is a good sign. He will still have a series of more surgeries to make sure that there is no more of the flesh eating bacteria within his body. The family is in good spirits and they are so grateful for all the love and support that they have received from the whole community. They ask that you continue pray for their sons and donate blood. God bless you all!!!!!!

Mrs. Gil, My name is Mike Vasil and I work with a scientist here in San Diego and our focus is Collagen wound healing. We have a product that we are currently in the process of filing a Designating Humanitarian Use Device HUD with the FDA for Necrotizing Fasciitis. We would like to give you our product for free if you are interested. It is an antimicrobial biodegradable wound healing device that is effective in killing streptococcus pyogenes and other bacteria associated with the disease. We wish we would have found out about your sons condition sooner. Considering the small amount of cases of NF our motive is for this message is not for monetary reasons.

Dear Giancarlo and family...my heart goes out to you. I've been trying to read online to find out all the specifics of your case, but it's a little sketchy. It seems Giancarlo got this while playing baseball, but I'm wondering if you feel the doctors acted too late in treating his leg. I'm part of a group of victims and family members who have been harmed by medical negligence, and one of our members also has dealt with flesh eating disease. If you have any questions in this regard or just need someone to talk to, please feel free to contact us. www.4patientsafety.org

I am a CVHS alumni and have been following Giancarlo's story. Have they stopped the bacteria? Has anyone at all mentioned RIFE technology to you? The right frequency can shatter the bacteria like a singer can shatter a wine glass with the right note. Zero side effects. I'm praying for his recovery.
