Mike Dunbar Coaches Fund
Donation protected
The Dunbar family has graciously allowed the Lakes Football Booster Club to create a fundraiser in honor of Coach Mike Dunbar. As a Lakes High School student-athlete, he excelled at academics and athletics. Upon completing his BA from the University of Washington, he returned to Lakewood, Washington to teach and coach within the Clover Park School District for 8 years.
Shortly after completing his graduate assistant coaching position and earning a MA from the Pacific Lutheran University, he coached at Central Washington University for 9 years and was inducted into the CWU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010. He maintains the highest football winning percentage of any head coach in CWU football history. Mike Dunbar coached football at various NCAA Division I/II programs for 39 years. The Lakes Football Booster Club is honored to establish this fundraiser in his name for coaches.
Our goal is to raise over $50,000 per year to provide stipends for volunteer and assistant coaches to enhance their coaching development.
Team support gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
