My name is Julie Buckley and I am shaving my hair off to raise money for The Live Love Laugh Foundation (registered charity no. 1164916), Buddy Bags Appeal.

Why am I doing this?
Imagine if your whole world changed in a day. Imagine having to leave everything you own and everyone you know. It happens every day.
• 48,000 children require emergency accommodation in the UK each year.
• Children fleeing violent situations often have to leave home quickly, without the chance to collect basic items, often arriving in emergency accommodation with just the clothes they are wearing.

Buddy Bags for Children in Emergency Care
A Buddy Bag is a backpack that contains all the essential items a child needs as they go into emergency care. They include toiletries, pyjamas, socks and underwear. They also include comfort items such as a book, a photo frame and a teddy bear.
A Buddy Bag is something a child can call their own, no
matter where they go and is tailored to suit babies and children according to age groups and gender.
Each Buddy Bag costs £25.00. All money raised (after gofundme's fees have been removed) will go directly towards providing Buddy Bags for children in need.

Each bag contains a postcard that the child can fill in and send back to the Live Love Laugh Foundation - this postcard made me decide to shave my head to raise money to help at least another 20 children have a teddy to comfort them.

WOW, WOW, WOW. Everybody has been amazing. Just over 24 hours after I launched my fund raising appeal, I reached my target. Thank you all, I am humbled by your kindness and generosity.

I have someone armed with the clippers ready to do the deed at the end of this month, but would like to try to help a few more Children first. So if you haven't donated already, please give whatever you can as every £25 over my target is another Buddy Bag for a child going into emergency care.
