Fundraiser for Fred Scroggs

Fred Scroggs was unexpectedly taken in a sudden tragic accident on I-275 on the entry ramp to 96 westbound the morning of October 15th. He had taken a service call to help a stranded motorists change her flat tire. Fred felt it was unsafe for her to be standing so close to the busy freeway and advised her to safely wait in her vehicle while he serviced her car and in doing so, was able to save her life. He aided in saving a life right before his was so abruptly taken, he was truly a hero. Fred was one of the best men I have ever had the privilege to call my friend and im sure alot of you feel the same. Everyone who has met Fred knows the impact he had on others around him. He truly cared about others more than himself, and now its time for us to give back. Our friends wanted to start this fundraiser to help with funeral cost and provide his family with some support. My name is Justin Scott Gabbard from Westland, Michigan and I was best friends with Fred William Scroggs, I am also close with the family. The funds raised by this fundraiser is going towards paying for all funeral costs, any leftover funds will be split between the family for whatever they may need in this tough time. I am in direct contact with the family, I plan on pulling the funds off for the family today (10/26/2015) and hand delivering it to them personally. Thank you all.
