Our gift, Quinten, was taken from us senselessly!

On October 24, 2018 at approximately 11 PM, after leaving Zaxby’s shortly after his evening weekday shift ended, Quinten caught a ride home from his manager. Sitting in front of his home on Greenway Drive in Covington, Georgia, talking to one another, Quinten and Tenee where ambushed by a reign of bullets, shot unbeknownst to them by a passing car. Quinten was executed in front of his home. These shots rumbled throughout the air, alerting Quinten’s baby brother,  Kortez and his sister,  Rashea inside their home, taking cover not knowing their oldest brother, their protector, their strength, was taking his last breath of air steps away outside of their home. These same sidewalk and streets, shared with many of the neighborhood children, now bleeds Quinten’s blood for justice and the strength to overcome another victims of gun violence.

A protector, a giver whom did things the right way. Quinten was a kid living his best life, doing what he ought to be doing. Quinten stayed out of the streets, NEVER in trouble, loved and took care of his siblings, loved his family and friends, made great grades in school, and respected his elders. Taken another good one from us! Always a A/B honor roll student, however the one who never gives teachers problems. Quinten was preparing for his birthday, just days away on November 11, 2018 and graduating. Keeping his grades at his 3.5 GPA was his goal. Quinten, a deep, calculated thinker, dreamed of joining the Air Force Reserves, studying, and serving others on his way to become a Pilot.

Our funds are spent only on funeral services at REIGHLY RUCKER and MELWOOD CEMETERY.

Oversight of Quentin’s campaign:

My relations to the family is long and directly tied to Quentin’s mothers and grandmother. I have been around the family for over 17 years now, as me and Quentin’s mother were best friends and high school sweethearts. I am Quentin’s uncle Brandon. Because many may not recognize my Islamic attribute of Tareef Abdul, this is Brandon Booker for this those whom might not identify my name change. As directed by Mrs. Teresa Foster, I was asked to get Quentin’s story out for the funeral donation.

This GoFundMe account is the official account of The Family of Quinten Keyvon Martin.
