Paducah Quilt Murals Inc is proud to announce that the premier panel of Quilt City USA® Murals was unveiled on September 13 to an enthusiastic crowd.

Quilt City USA® Murals
are painted renderings of actual quilts applied to the floodwall adjacent to the Carroll Convention Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Lead Artist Char Downs invested nearly 600 hours recreating Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry’s iconic quilt Corona II: Solar Eclipse—the first quilt in the series.

Paducah is:

·       Home to the American Quilter's Society, the largest quilting organization in the world, and The National Quilt Museum of the United States
·       A Mecca and “bucket list” destination for quilters and quilt enthusiasts from around the world
·       The location of AQS QuiltWeek Spring and Fall.

Quilting has been the common thread connecting Paducah to people and places across the globe. Nearly 100,000 quilters and quilt enthusiasts from around the world make an annual trek to this UNESCO Creative City known as Quilt City USA® to view some of the finest quilts being created today or to take workshops with internationally acclaimed instructors.
