Support Families Travel to Funeral!

Donation protected
This campaign was created by Vanessa Pack on behalf of Vic Buckner's Mom and Sister Gina Buckner as they were under a great deal of stress. All funds raised will go directly to Vic's Mom to ensure that his family from California will be able to attend their loved ones funeral.

Our family is grieving over the loss of our loved ones. We lost 5 very special people that are gone too soon. We are asking for your help to ensure that Vic's Mom, Sister Gina, and his close family are able to attend their loved ones funeral. No one could have prepared for such a tragedy.

The family is mourning the loss of their loved ones – a family of five found dead in a burning home in Phoenix, Ariz.

Police said the victims were shot by a relative.

Vic Buckner was the father of the family. He grew up in Taft according to his mother who still lives there, Arvilla Beecher.

She can't believe her son is gone, her grandchildren are gone – and all by the hands of her grandson.

"I just can't believe it happened.  I can't believe that my grandson would kill his whole family.  I nearly collapsed.  I can't believe it.  I was just horrified," Arvilla Beecher said.

Gina Buckner said Vic was her brother, his wife Kimberly her sister-in-law, their daughters, 18-year-old Kaitlin and 6-year-old Emma, her nieces.

All were victims of 26-year-old Alex Buckner, her nephew.

"My cousin Terri called me and she told me that my brother and the whole family had been shot by my nephew and then he caught the house on fire.  And when the cops came in they found him in a room alone with a gun and he pointed it at them and they shot them," said Jina Buckner.

To make matters worse ...

"I never even met my youngest granddaughter," Beecher said.

Beecher said she just couldn't afford to travel to see her son and his family.

"I'm on social security and I just live month to month," Beecher said.

She said she can't even afford to travel to Phoenix for the funeral.

"We just need help to get there for the funeral to say our goodbye to our family," Buckner said.

According to Phoenix Police, Alex Buckner had Schizophrenia and was treated for drug abuse in the past but did not have a history of violence.
