On The morning of January 1st, 2019, my nephew Shaun was tragically struck by a train in Long Island, NY. He was rushed to a trauma center with life threating injuries. He lost tremendous amounts of blood, suffered internal bleeding, a fractured pelvis and deep lacerations on his side and back that will require skin grafting.
Almost three weeks later he is making progress but still on a ventilator and in critical but stable condition in ICU. This poor 23 year old has been through over 5 surgeries in just two weeks and may require more in the future.
It is going to be a long road for this young man. As you can imagine the medical bills are growing each day. After Shaun makes it out of ICU, he need rehabilitation to get back to his normal 23 year old activities. He will not be able to work for some time.
I am starting this fund to help him and his parents with the financial burden of Medical bills. While I can’t physically be by his side every day like I so wish I could, I wanted to do something for this young man whom I love so much!!! If I could take a little of the financial burden off him and his devoted Mother and Father I will try.
As I like to call him Shaunie B is like a son to me and I love him so very much. So I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my nephew Shaunie B!!
