Alyssa's Education and Vehicle Fund

Hello, my name is Heather and my daughter Alyssa was a victim of human trafficking at the age of 15.  She has survived a horrific event and is now 20 years old and ready to move on with her life.  She is trying to obtain her education and a car so that she can advocate for other women.  She is currently advocating and this would help move towards her goals. Someday she wants to have a non-profit safe house and this will help her start to move towards that goal. Any amount you can contribute would mean the world to Alyssa and our family.

Here is her story : At the tender age of 13 she found herself on the streets looking for love and acceptance but instead she found violence.  She was lured into human trafficking by a monster who should have protected her but instead took her innocence.  Trapped in a world she didn't know how to get out of where she was forced to do the unimaginable. After many attempts to escape she finally did.  Faced with PTSD and many other issues from this trauma she headed to counseling to heal.  After 5 long years she is healing and ready to live a successful life.  As she would say today she is no longer a victim she is a survivor.

Two of the people who trafficked her are out of prison.  She is fearful of retaliation and due to her advocacy work and presence in the media she would like a car to get around so she is not traveling by bus where she could run into these people.  She wants to get her college education so she can continue to grow in her role as an advocate for other survivors.
