Santa Needs A New Sleigh

Donation protected
Let me tell you about this incredible man. His name is Santa Claus. Most of the year, he goes under the alias of Steve Macey.

Steve and I have lunch together nearly every Tuesday. Through our conversations, I have developed a great respect and admiration for this man's passion and desire to bring joy into the lives of others. The whole of his income for the year is made in November and December when he puts on his suit and spins his charm into the hearts of young and old alike. He makes us all feel young again. Very rarely do you find someone who has his ability to bring so much joy into the lives of others, even to those he doesn't even know.

On Christmas Morning, Santa was on his way to his 70th and final stop of the year at about 6:30 a.m. When he started up the ascending hill, he heard a loud pop, smelled something burning, and soon his car erupted in flames. He grabbed his Santa suit coat, his Christmas bells, a small amount of cash he had in the car and ran about 150 feet away, not knowing if the car would explode. His car is a total loss.

Join me, in whatever way you can, and let's get Santa an incredibly reliable car. Something that's four wheel drive so he can make it to any party in Utah. Something that he won't need to take to the shop for some time to come. Something that the windows actually go all the way up on. Something that he won't have to worry about a
payment on, so he can continue to do what he's passionate about... bringing joy into the lives of others.

Merry Christmas to you all! I hope you can find a way to join us! Even if you're not in a position to donate, please share this with everyone you know so they might have a chance to participate!

BTW... If you have connections in the auto industry that might make this more possible, please let me know. We don't need anything fancy, but because he gives of himself so much, I'd love to give him all we can.

12/26/2015 Update: A HUGE THANK YOU to KSL, FOX 13, and KUTV 2 News for their coverage of this story. Also to CBS, NBC, ABC, the Associated Press and their affiliates who have shared this around the world.

And an especially sincere THANK YOU to the Lone Peak Fire Department for the time you spent away from your families on Christmas morning taking care of our friend. As well as the young couple who stopped and let Santa sit in your car until the fire department showed up. I wish we knew who you were.

I saw Santa tear up several times when we shared dinner on Christmas Day, as he was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and concern for his well being. Thank you to you all for this!

I've included a video that Santa cameo'd for us a couple years ago. Enjoy and God Bless!

Thank you!
