Lily's Surgery
On Christmas day around 11pm Lily hopped off the couch like she normally would, only to start limping and not using her front right leg anymore. I figured it would just be a cramp or something so I gave it an hour or so. An hour passes and she still has the limp, so Shu and myself decided to take her to an ER to get it checked.
An x-ray was taken at the ER as well as medication to stop the pain, and turns out her elbow joints are completely malformed.

Below is the report that was concluded from it.

So the day after the ER we called up places to get her seen ASAP, and had an appointment today (saturday the 29th) to see what needs to be done. We were told she would need a surgery to tap (I believe was the term) the joint and likely do surgery to remove what's blocking her from bending the joint. We were told this will likely re-occur but Shu and I don't want her to suffer on medication as she's super tired and feverish since the incident, she occasionally has a burst of energy but that lasts maybe a minute before she goes back to sleep. We ended up getting a quote for the surgery and the low end was 3.8k whereby the higher end is 4.4k. The soonest they could do was Monday and we cannot get that high sum over the weekend... We were given antibiotics for two weeks until we figure out what to do, but we can tell Lily is suffering with her limping leg as it hurts her if she lays down even with medications. We tried to apply for the pet credit they offer but we were denied due to Shu having student loans and I have no credit history due to recent immigration to the US.

The funds for this will be used to get her surgery as soon as possible as we want her to just be her old self and not suffer from joint complications. She's not even two years old but she means the world to us as she is a super happy ball of fur every morning and very vocal, just the last few days she's just been quiet and sleeping, and doesn't seem like herself anymore.

Shu and I appreciate any penny donated towards her surgery, and if you donated and you want a doodle please use this form: https://goo.gl/forms/QBdyxgkbnqICwBR12 the doodle will be like the image below! Not only will Shu and myself be eternally grateful, but Lily will too since she can get her leg fixed! If you can't donate anything, please consider sharing this anywhere you can to get the word out, it would be really appreciated!
