Jamie Ryan is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet!
Jamie is super sweet, caring, always happy, and will be there for you when you need her. She is one of a kind and anyone who gets to have her in their life is truly blessed. Jamie is surrounded by love and compassion and is not afraid to love and be compassionate in return.
This super upbeat and optimistic woman needs our help. Jamie is extremely humble so I am going to ask for help instead!
Jamie suffers from 3 auto immune diseases. Yep, you read that correctly. Not 1, not 2, but 3 auto immune diseases. She has been battling lupus for many years and recently discovered that she also has multiple sclerosis (commonly known as MS). Jamie is taking a variety of medications and has been taking special shots to help with MS and lupus. Though these two diseases have affected her life in many ways Jamie is still her cheerful self and remains full of hope!
Just recently, Jamie’s doctor let her know that he discovered a 3rd auto immune disease.
She was diagnosed with Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (commonly known as MMN). MMN, “is a progressively worsening condition where muscles in the extremities gradually weaken.” MMN is going to be the most difficult for her to fight and live with.
Today (03/31/15) she started intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment and this treatment does not come cheap and will not be fully covered by insurance. Jamie will spend four days in the hospital receiving the treatment and will have to continue these treatments every month. Jamie will also have to return to physical therapy to build back the muscle she has already lost and work on getting her muscles to function properly again.
As her coworker and friend, I am asking for your help. She will have a new mountain of medical bills after her IVIG treatment and I just want to help her reduce it as much as possible so she can focus on getting well again.
