Christmas for Karma and her family
The 39 year old female recently relocated to California from Florida with her 6 year old daughter Karma. Karma was temporarily placed with a foster family until her grandmother could respond to California from Florida. During this time, LPD Officers and LPFD Firefighters learned the Karma was unable to celebrate Christmas at all due to her mother’s medical condition beginning in the early morning hours of Christmas morning.
As a result of this discovery, LPD Personnel and LPFD Personnel went to work and purchased Christmas gifts for Karma so she could experience Christmas on this tragic day. On December 26, 2015, LPD Personnel along with LPFD Personnel delivered the Christmas gifts to Karma.
This incident touched the heart’s of LPD Personnel and LPFD Personnel. To assist Karma and her family, LPD and LPFD started a “GoFundMe” account to raise money for funeral expenses and transportation expenses to get Karma’s mother back to Florida.
LPD, LPOA, and LPFD are asking for the communities assistance to raise money for Karma. If you would like to donate money to the “GoFundMe” account please click on the following link.

Karma is a really sweet young girl and deserves the best. She is so humble and is enjoying her time with us temporary. She has an amazing grandma and dad who are in touch on a daily basis. As Karmas temporary foster parent I would like to Thank LPD and LFD who are her true Angels!! They brought everything from hygiene products, blankets tons of toys to snacks! She is still have a blast playing with all of it. Karma has a long journey ahead and with the love and support of our community we can make a smother one #PrayingforKarma
Angel was such an amazing person. I still can't believe she's gone. And Karma is one of the sweetest and smartest little girls you will ever want to meet. It is such a horrible thing to lose such an amazing person during the holidays. Miss you Angel. You will always be my friend and in my prayers.
Hello from her family in Florida, we are speechless, Thank you so very much, the out pouring of love, prayers, and support is just unbelievable, we pray she makes it home as soon as possible so that we can wrap our arms around herand begin healing, she truly is an amazing little girl, we love Karma very much and we are all so incredibly greatful, God bless each of you for your wonderful donations, all of us Thank you
I would like to thank the Livermore PD and FD for everything they have done for my daughter, Karma. They made this terrible tragedy infinitely more bearable. I can't say enough good things about them. They went above and beyond to make sure Karma didn't lose her love for Christmas. These wonderful people are the example that the rest of us should try to emulate. They take "Protect and Serve" to an entirely different level. An extra-special thank you to officer Dave for all of his help and compassion while helping us to get through this tough time.
This outpouring of community and love and hope is very overwhelming. This is making me realize that there is still hope for the human race and that good people still exist. Angel was someone I have loved as a sister for many many years. We worked together at Arts, we live together at one time and we would go shopping at the Ocala mall then head off for some Mexican food. Karma, what a smart and intelligent child. She is bright and kind. And she is so loving to everyone she meets. Paul if you read this, I've already told you I am praying for you and all those around you involved with this. You are a kick butt dad and she is very blessed to have you. You can do this because you are phenomenal at the role of daddy. I love all of you.
It saddens me that Angel lost her long battle to this disease and it breaks my heart that Karma was there alone with her mommy when it happened. God Bless the LPD and the LFD for everything they have done to give Karma the Christmas she didn't get due to this tragedy! Also thank Karma's foster parents for all they are doing. My prayers are that this little girl doesn't have to also endure the pain of being kept from the daddy she loves so much! I have know this little family for many years, Karma since the day she was born. I know how much she is loved and how much Karma loved her mommy and continues to love her daddy. I know he is an awesome daddy and they deserve to be together. I believe that is what Angel wanted! I pray you all will help in anyway possible to make that happen for Karma. Rest in peace Angel and know that we will help Karma and her daddy all we can.
